CEDR was saddened to learn of the death this week of the mediator and educator Paul Randolph. Paul's background was as a Barrister, having practiced for 35 years, however his attraction to mediation led to a fundamental change in career. He embraced the field with relish and was instrumental in helping create and lead the psychotherapy-based programme at what is now Regent's University in London. Paul achieved his CEDR Mediator Accreditation in 1999 and was for many years an active member of CEDR's Mediator Exchange Network for alumni. He was an experienced public speaker and a published author on mediation. He was ambitious for the profession and became involved in many initiatives in the UK and internationally to promote mediation. Paul's dedication to the profession, including over a decade as an elected board member of the Civil Mediation Council of England & Wales, makes his passing a very sad loss.
